Job Description

Position Title: Activations Clerk

Department: Finance

Location: Harare, Zimbabwe

Reports To: Finance Director

JOB SUMMARY

The Activations Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and processing customer activations for Starlink services. The role ensures accurate onboarding of customers, timely activation of services, proper system updates, and close coordination with sales, technical, and billing teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process and manage Starlink service activations for new customers.

Verify customer documentation and service eligibility prior to activation.

Register customers and allocate accounts within internal systems.

Coordinate with technical teams to ensure successful service activation.

Systems & Data Management

Capture and update customer, kit, and service data accurately in activation systems.

Maintain accurate activation records and logs.

Liaise with sales, finance, and technical teams to resolve activation issues.

Ensure activations comply with company policies, Starlink reseller requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Validate activation data to prevent errors, delays, or service disruptions.

Escalate activation issues or anomalies to management.

Prepare daily and monthly activation reports.

Track activation turnaround times and service performance metrics.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business studies and computer science (BScIT) or Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Commerce (or any related field)

Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills.

Valid driver’s license is an added advantage

Familiarity with CRM systems and activation platforms is desirable.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Document processing for both Finance and IT references.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet service timelines.
