Program Assistant (Volunteer): Action for Youth Foundation Trust

Reports to: The Program Coordinator

Action for Youth Foundation Trust is a registered youth-serving, non-profit organization committed

to improve the life standard of youth in Zimbabwe through enhanced health access, climate

resilience and civic engagement.

The organization is looking for a Program Assistant who will support the scaling up of the Sexual Health and Reproductive Education for Youth in Tertiary Education and HIV/STI Hot-spot Areas (SHARE4YTE) Project on a volunteer and part time basis.

– Participating in planning of the SHARE4YTE Project.

– Conducting HIV testing and counseling during the community programs.

– Issuing Post-test services referrals to the clients.

– Collaborating with the health facilities for HIV services.

– Linking the clients with the existing Group Safe Spaces.

– Representing the organization in different programs.

– Participating during the preparation of budgets, proposals, concept notes and projections

– Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

At least a Diploma in HIV Counseling, Care & Support from ZIHAT or any relevant from a reputable institution.

Rapid HIV Testing Certificate is an added advantage.

Registered with the Allied Health Practitioners of Zimbabwe is a must

At least 2 years in a similar role.

Agora Certificate of Completion on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse is a must.

Able to work as a team.

At least two references to be in the CV. Please note reference per request is an automatic disqualification.
